Kiwanis Club of San Diego Committees
The Kiwanis Club of San Diego provides community service to the city and county of San Diego through committees as follows:
- Club Project/Grant Committees: These committees use money from the San Diego Kiwanis Club Foundation to accomplish the community service projects approved by the Club Board of Directors and the Foundation. The priority is on young children.
- Foundation Committees: This consists of the scholarships that are awarded annually for students from San Diego enrolled in San Diego colleges and universities.
- Administrative Committees: These committees are directed at membership growth, fund raising and other administrative activities.
Committee organization and management
The club officers provide leadership and supervision of the various committees as follows:
- Club President – Member of all committees and provides budget and management oversight and direction to all programs.
- Club 1st Vice President – Supervises the Club Project/Grant Committees directly involved in youth services related programs.
- Club 2nd Vice President – Supervises the membership related committees and the weekly programs.
