Program: 211 San Diego

As a local nonprofit organization, 211 San Diego is the region’s trusted source for information and connections to community, health, and disaster resources. They will enlighten us about their programs and provide their perspective of the issues and solutions to children's issues in the region.

Speaker: Meg Hersman Storer, Chief of Staff

As Chief of Staff, Meg Storer brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the fields of public affairs, communications, and marketing. Meg joined 211 San Diego in 2003 and today is responsible for helping the agency build upon its social entrepreneurship vision, create a positive public reputation, and ensure proper positioning and messaging for 211 throughout the local and national community. Meg serves as the agency’s keystone by providing strategic oversite of executive-facing initiatives internally and externally. Also overseeing the External Affairs team, Meg is pivotal in raising awareness of 211 and its programs among key community leaders to generate support and partnerships that forward its mission.

Prior to 211, Meg served as both the State Government Affairs Coordinator and Communications Coordinator for American Forest & Paper Association in Washington, D.C., gaining experience in federal and state functions. She has extensive experience serving in a leadership role at a state and national level including 211 California Board of Directors to support critical legislation for statewide coverage of 211, has served as the Vice-Chair of the California Alliance of Information and Referral Systems and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems.
