    UPLIFT's Money Tales Sessions

    Kiwanis-sponsored UPLIFT Money Tales sessions are officially launching, and we’re excited to invite Kiwanis San Diego members to help support this meaningful financial-literacy program for local students.

    Where: Emerson Elementary School: 1100 S 36th St, San Diego, CA 92113
    *Ample street parking near entrance

    When: Tuesday, April 7 | 9:15 - 10:00 | 
    Single Schoolwide 3rd -5th Grade Assembly ()

    Please arrive 15 minutes early and enter through the school office
    Email monica@upliftsandiego.org with your preferred session time.

      Kiwanians will assist with setting up the room, supporting students during the read-along, helping answer student questions alongside Miss Faith, and guiding students as they select their take-home books with Kiwanis labels. Volunteers will also help distribute Kiwanis-branded “go bags,” which include books and parent handouts featuring Kiwanis logo and contact information.

      This is a wonderful hands-on opportunity to engage with students and make a lasting impact through literacy and learning.

      Boys to Men ~ 30th Anniversary Gala

      The Kiwanis Club of San Diego is proud to support Boys to Men Mentoring at their Rooted in Resiliency 30th Anniversary Gala — a milestone celebration honoring three decades of community impact and mentorship. This elegant evening benefits Boys to Men’s vital work empowering young men through mentoring, emotional support, and community connection across San Diego County.

      The gala features waterfront views, inspired cuisine, live music, and an opportunity to celebrate the mentors, supporters, and community members who have helped shape this powerful organization’s mission.

      Volunteer Roles
      Kiwanis volunteers are needed to support a variety of roles including:

      • Guest greeting & check-in

      • Event setup & breakdown

      • Assisting attendees throughout the evening

      • Supporting gala logistics and volunteer coordination

      This is a great opportunity to give back, engage with community partners, and support mentoring that transforms lives.

      Community Impact Fair with TCW – AM Set-Up Crew

      Date: Saturday, April 18
      Time: 8:00 AM – 10:30 AM (PM SHIFT 4-5 pm ALSO AVAILABLE - REGISTER HERE)
      Location: TCW BoujieMana Parking Lot : 3545 Aero Ct Ste B San Diego, CA 92123

      Join Kiwanis Club of San Diego for a hands-on Community Impact Fair supporting nearly 20 local nonprofits—including several youth-focused organizations.

      Volunteers will assist with the morning set-up, helping transform the space into a vibrant community hub. Tasks include setting up 10x10 pop-up tents, arranging tables, and placing chairs for participating organizations.

      This is a great opportunity to make an immediate impact while supporting a wide range of causes in one event. Family members are welcome to join!

      What to Expect:

      • Set up 10x10 pop-up tents
      • Arrange ~20 tables and 40–60 chairs
      • Team-based environment (buddy system available)
      • Support a large-scale nonprofit community event

      What to Bring:

      • Comfortable clothes suitable for light lifting
      • Closed-toe shoes
      • Gloves (optional)

      Collaborative Service Project with Rotary 33 & San Diego Youth Services

      Join Kiwanis Club of San Diego for a special morning of service as we partner with Rotary 33 for our first collaborative project in over 50 years!

      Together, we’ll be supporting San Diego Youth Services at one of their shelter locations in Banker’s Hill. Volunteers will help refresh and improve the space, with projects focused on enhancing the courtyard, office areas, and potentially their on-site thrift shop—creating a more welcoming and supportive environment for the youth they serve.

      This is a unique opportunity to work alongside fellow service leaders from Rotary while making a meaningful, hands-on impact in our local community.

      I Love A Clean SD: Creek to Bay Cleanup

      Location: South Clairemont Recreation Center

      Join the Kiwanis Club of San Diego and I Love A Clean San Diego for Creek to Bay, the largest Earth Week cleanup in San Diego County! Volunteers of all ages are invited to help remove litter and debris from local creeks, beaches, parks, and neighborhoods—protecting our waterways and wildlife.

      Meet-Up Details

      This family-friendly, countywide event engages thousands of volunteers at 100+ cleanup sites from inland communities to the coast. All supplies are provided, and you can volunteer individually or as part of a group—like your Kiwanis team!
